Helen graduated from post graduate medicine at Sydney University in 2004 following an undergraduate degree in Medical Science. She then completed a Masters in International Public Health and is currently completing a Masters in Womens Health at the University of NSW.
Helen has worked in a number of countries including Kenya, Indonesia, Guatemala and most recently Cambodia and has a passion for global health care. She loves all aspects of medicine but has a special interest in Women’s and Childrens Health and has completed a Diploma in Child Health and Certificate in Sexual Health and Family Planning. She is trained in IUD and Implanon insertion and removal.
Helen believes in the importance of excellent primary care and enjoys teaching and advocating for general practice as a career. She is a registered supervisor of GP registrars with GP Synergy as well as mentoring medical students from Western Sydney University.
Helen is a Blue Mountains local who loves spending time with her family and their many animals. She is an avid gardener and enjoys travelling as well as curling up with a cup of tea and a good book.
